Our first testing goal
I want PluginSolarHub to independently buy and test one of the first complete UK plug-in solar systems released under the new rules.
Buying the system ourselves matters. It means we can look at the complete package — plug and lead, inverter, panels, mounting, instructions, G98 information and installation guidance — from the same position as an ordinary customer.
Reader support will help build the testing fund. As the project develops, I'll publish what we test and what we find on the site.
Contribute to the research →Reader contributions, affiliate relationships, advertising, manufacturer-supplied products or commercial partnerships will not determine a Product Register status or the conclusion of a review. If a manufacturer supplies a product or pays for a clearly defined commercial service, we'll disclose it.
Why support instead of putting everything behind a paywall?
I want the important safety, legal and electrical information on PluginSolarHub to remain available to everyone. The Product Register is more useful if a homeowner can check a product before buying it without first having to subscribe.
Support is therefore completely optional. If you don't want to contribute, keep using the site — that's what it's here for.
Are you a manufacturer?
If you manufacture or distribute a complete UK plug-in solar system, please don't use the reader-support route to request a listing. Use our manufacturer contact form instead. We can review documentation for the Product Register and discuss independent physical product testing.
